Refinery29 UK appoints fashion editor
Charlotte Gush,
previously opinion editor at i-D, has joined Refinery29
UK as fashion editor. Charlotte is a
journalist and editor who has written broadly across fashion, music, art,
activism and culture. Interviewees include Raf Simons backstage in New York,
the artists Laurie Anderson, Cosey Fanni Tutti and Miranda July, Black Panther
star Letitia Wright, director Desiree Akhavan, and musicians Perfume Genius
and Mykki Blanco. Charlotte has also spoken on diversity and
representation in fashion at the Southbank Centre’s Women Of The World
festival, and at the launch of the Models Union at Unite.
Charlotte is
interested in receiving pitches on both the ethics and aesthetics of fashion,
and on fashion people and culture – from the designers and models changing the
game, to films, exhibitions, books, zines, new ideas, new faces, and important
causes. She is especially interested in discovering the people and brands
pushing fashion into the future, through radical sustainability,
representation, and fair working practices.
