Lyst appoints editorial director & other senior hires
Fashion e-commerce site Lyst has announced three new senior hires this week - Chief Operating Officer, Editorial Director and US VP of Communications.
The new additions to the Lyst team will play key roles in
scaling the company’s continued growth, as revenue continues to triple year-on-year. Jose
Ojeda joins Lyst as COO, overseeing Lyst’s commercial and and operational
structure. With experience growing and managing fashion e-commerce for
businesses in Europe, USA and Asia, he will be critical in the rollout of
Lyst’s plans for internationalisation. Jose was recently CEO at Zalora
Thailand, the leading online fashion destination in South East Asia. He also
co-founded London e-commerce start-up Smithfield Case, which was sold to The
Chapar in 2012. As part of a continued investment in content and building out
the Lyst brand, Katherine Ormerod joins Lyst as editorial director,
and will drive Lyst’s content strategy and editorial output. Previously at
Sunday Times Style and trend forecaster Stylus, Katherine was senior fashion
news & features editor at Grazia. She founded The Fashion Content
Agency, creating brand content for Hunter, House Of Fraser, Dazed White Label
and Arcadia. Finally, Sarika Rastogi is joining Lyst as US VP of
Communications, and will lead on communications strategy and campaigns in
America, the site’s principal market. Sarika previously worked for Valentino
and Chanel before becoming Associate Events Director at Vogue US, and
comes to Lyst from Tods, where she was US Head of Communications for four
years. Both Katherine and Sarika will be joining the team in the next couple of
weeks.
