Eric Musgrave to leave Drapers
Eric Musgrave is to leave his role as editorial director
of Drapers on 4 November to resume his career as a freelance
journalist and fashion industry consultant. Eric was invited by Emap to return
to Drapers in July 2013, seven years after he had stepped down from
the same role. In July this year Eric was named PPA Business Media Editor of
the Year for his work in turning round the fashion industry title. In 2003 he
also took the PPA’s B2B Editor of the Year title after creating the
modern Drapers from the merger of Drapers Record (founded 1887) and
its brother publication Menswear (founded 1902). He started his career on
Drapers Record in 1980. Most of his roles have been on B2B titles but he was
the launch editor of For Him Magazine (now FHM) in April 1985.
