Glamour announces senior editorial appointments
Camilla Kay (pictured) has
been appointed beauty and lifestyle director. Camilla has 20 years’ experience
of working within the beauty industry, starting out at Vogue and Cosmopolitan.
She was previously beauty director and associate editor of InStyle; and more
recently ran beauty consultancy, Gloss & Content. She joined Glamour
in November as deputy editor on the biannual print title, helping to shape the
new beauty-first direction of the title. Camilla will help to oversee beauty
content across all digital, print and commercial, reporting to editor-in-chief,
Deborah
Joseph.
Lottie Winter has been appointed beauty editor.
Lottie joins the team from Vogue where she most recently
held the role of beauty and lifestyle associate. Lottie will be writing across
all aspects of beauty including topics such as plastic surgery, health and
wellness. She will be covering the weekly ‘New in Beauty’ feature and will also
be presenting social video franchises.
In
addition to Camilla and Lottie joining the Glamour team, Samantha
McMeekin has been promoted to deputy beauty editor. She
previously held the role beauty writer at the title and has worked on the new
beauty-first, digital-first direction of Glamour since November. She
will be responsible for the weekly Glam Drop videos, as well as general digital
beauty content.
Alice Du Parcq and Jennifer George have also
been appointed contributing beauty director and contributing beauty editor
respectively. They will work with the team across the biannual print edition.
