British Vogue appoints publishing director
Vanessa Kingori MBE (photographed by Dorothy Oginni), has been appointed as publishing director of British Vogue. Vanessa is currently publisher of British GQ and GQ Style, its first female publisher during its 30-year history, and has been with Condé Nast for more than eight years. Prior to this Vanessa worked for Esquire where she was named as the Hearst UK Salesperson of the Year, and the Evening Standard’s ES magazine. Vanessa was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in 2016; is a member of the Mayor of London’s Brexit Expert Advisory Panel; received the Walpole Leader in Luxury Award 2016; was named in Vogue’s “10 Women Shaping British Menswear”; and she also supports students through panel discussions, project evaluations and mentoring in her role as Visiting Fellow at the University of the Arts London.
Vanessa will replace Stephen Quinn, who retires from his role as publishing
director of British
Vogue after 26 years on 22 December.
